Reynolds Wrap® Foil and Hefty® Products Continue Promotional Partnership with the Chicago Cubs

 

Lake Forest, Ill., April 11, 2018 — Reynolds Consumer Products is pleased to announce it will continue its partnership with the Chicago Cubs. Reynolds Wrap® aluminum foil, Hefty® trash bags and Hefty® party cups will be used at Wrigley Field as part of the new multi-year contract.

Fans will see the return of several sponsorships that engaged fans at the field and new additions, too!  

The Chicago Cubs - Reynolds Wrap® rain tarp will be used for the 2018 season and beyond. It was introduced in 2015 and on rain days, it is the largest physical “billboard” in the ballpark. Over the last three years, the tarp has delivered more than 450 million media impressions, including the August 2015 highlight when All-Star first baseman Anthony Rizzo jumped on top of the tarp in foul ground territory for a spectacular catch.

On May 22, Reynolds Wrap® foil is sponsoring the Cubs cap-shaped umbrella promotion for the first 10,000 early arriving fans. Also this season, a new 30-second video feature, “Greatest Catches,” will appear on the video board.

Hefty® party cups will be enhancing the “Cups Up” video board segment with fun, new footage that features Cubs players raising a Hefty Party cup to the crowd alongside live shots of cheering Cubs fans! Hefty branding also will continue to appear on every drink cup in the park, as well as on all ballpark cup holders.

Hefty® trash bags, the official trash bag of the Chicago Cubs, will continue to light up ballpark LEDs in bright Hefty orange after every Cubs home run as the sponsor of the “Hefty! Hefty! Hefty! Home Run Tracker.” The brand is excited to team up with the Cubs for a new neighborhood initiative called the Neighborhood Grounds Crew, which consist of a group of volunteers who will be cleaning up garbage with Hefty®-wrapped trash bins on streets neighboring the Friendly Confines throughout the season.
