GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Sales Director will be responsible for working with our regional accounts including Ahold, SUPERVALU, Albertsons, and Safeway. The Sales Director will also be responsible for developing sales plans and budgets for maximizing sales volume while meeting profit margin targets as well as expanding our customer base for our Bakeware business. The Sales Director will not have any direct report initially however, there is scope for employee management opportunities in the future.

 The Sales Director-Bakeware will be responsible for:

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for achieving sales revenue, profit and expense goals within a defined market
  • Develops sales plans and budgets for maximizing sales volume while meeting profit margin targets for Bakeware’s team
  • Work with regional accounts including Ahold, SUPERVALU Albertsons, and Safeway
  • Ensure efficient and effective use of marketing, advertising and promotional planning.
  • Responsible for personal interaction with existing customers to explore all potential sales opportunities including prospecting, presentations, pricing and closing of sales.
  • Responsible for recruiting, training and developing staff as well as for day-to-day activities of the sales organization.
  • Spearheads and assures flawless execution of the strategic business initiatives.
  • Assures disciplined and structured sales environment is created and maintained.
  • Attend trade shows and participates in industry associations.
  • In locations where applicable, responsible to comply with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.  
  • Size, scope and complexity of assigned businesses are factors in the level of responsibility.
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to expand our customer base for Bakeware
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships

 

Job Requirements

To be considered for the Sales Director-Bakeware opportunity, candidates should possess:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field.
  • MBA or other advanced degree a plus.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of related professional and progressive Sales experience in the CPG industry.
  • In depth experience of multiple channels including’ food, drug, mass value stores and club.
  • Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching and mentoring a diverse sales staff.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide insight and input into strategic decision making and operations as it related to the business development area.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close complex deals.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Ability to travel (50%).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
